A Picturesque Graduation Tea

What is a Graduation Tea?

At a Graduation Tea, the graduate is the guest of honor, and family, friends, and colleagues are invited to celebrate their achievements. The atmosphere is typically relaxed and social, with guests enjoying conversation, tea, and small bites such as sandwiches, pastries, and cakes.

This can be a formal sit-down affair, however, for a high school grad, we highly suggest a more casual open-house style party.

6 Steps to a successful High School Graduation Tea

1. Set the Scene: Honeybee’s Teahouse has got it covered… our teacups, saucers, tiered serving trays, tablecloths, and floral centerpieces will create a charming and inviting atmosphere!

2. Parents, send out the Invitations ASAP: Be sure to send out invitations that reflect the tea party theme. You can opt for elegant, vintage-style invitations or even craft your own using tea bag-shaped cards.

3. Collaborate with your teen on the Tea Menu: Offer a variety of tea options such as herbal, black, green, and fruity teas. Include iced tea options for those who prefer a cooler drink.

4. Prepare Tea Party Treats: Serve an assortment of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, mini quiches, and small desserts. Include vegetarian and gluten-free options for guests with dietary restrictions.

5. Plan a Tea Party Game: Keep guests entertained with activities such as a tea tasting contest! Honeybee’s Teahouse is equipped to help.

6. And who can forget the DRESS CODE: Encourage the young ones to dress up in their best party attire. It will make for some glamorous photos wearing their dresses, suits, hats, and gloves. Tip: Provide a selection of hats and accessories for guests to choose from upon arrival.

By incorporating these elements, you will create a memorable and sophisticated tea for your teen’s Graduation.
